“Caring. Knowledgeable. Client-centered. Compassionate. Successful.” These are the words that come to mind when asked to describe A Body In Motion Rehabilitation.
I am a second year student at the University of Western Ontario, in the Masters of Physical Therapy. I had the privilege of completing a clinical placement at Keri Martin’s facility, A Body In Motion Rehab, in Kitchener, Ontario. The clinic provided me with an opportunity to apply my physiotherapy skills in a supervised, learning environment. Through observation, problem-solving, and hands-on practice, I was able to strengthen my skills in an orthopedic setting. The clinic provided me with many resources to increase the depth of my knowledge and I was encouraged to try new techniques with great support. Most importantly, the staff at the clinic made me and all of their clients feel welcome, motivated and cared-for. I consider the staff incredible role models; they encouraged me to be the best therapist and person that I could be. Completing a placement at A Body In Motion Rehabilitation was an experience that I will treasure forever; not only did I gain experience assessing, treating, and progressing a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, I did so in an inclusive caring environment”
Meghan McDonald, UWO student (2005)
As a new graduate, starting my professional career at A Body In Motion was better than I ever imagined work could be! I was able to put my education into clinical practice in an upbeat, open, and sociable environment, where clients looked forward to coming for physiotherapy. Never in my life have I witnessed, or furthermore, been a part of such a tightly knit team that shared an unparalleled passion for others well-being, and to helping them improve their quality of life. I feel blessed to be a part of A Body In Motion, and know that your experience here will make you even prouder to be a part of this wonderful profession!
