Hi Everyone!
Those of you who have been a part of the ABIM family for the last several years will likely remember the “Love to Share the Love” Campaign that our team executes every February. We choose a cause that is close to our heart and we use the month of February to both raise awareness, and to help a member of our extended ABIM family, whether that be a client, a colleague, or someone who really needs us! We have popcorn sales and games and fancy coffee bars etc. to raise funds and then Keri matches the total with the goal of sharing the love!!
Well, COVID had other plans for us this year and because we have had tighter restrictions within the clinic, we were unable to execute exactly how we love to! (And we are missing having treats on hand). Despite the strict protocols in place in the clinic, it was important to us that we continued the “Love to Share the Love” tradition…just a little untraditionally.
So we would love for you to meet Nolan….
We would like you to meet one overly sweet and strong member of the A Body in Motion patient family. Nolan Caskanette is an incredibly bright and kind three-year-old who also has a genetic condition called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). His beautiful smile and adorable waves hello and goodbye truly warm your heart. Nolan has a supported airway and uses a wheelchair for mobility. He loves to draw, paint, and play with his big sister Fiona, who he absolutely adores. When they are not making blanket forts, they like to watch the Paw Patrol and Wild Kratts on television together.
Nolan has complex medical needs that are supported by a team of nursing staff, doctors, and specialists. Most importantly, Nolan has two of the most incredible parents you will ever meet, Kerri Beirnes and Mike Caskanette. Together, they all enjoy walks outside and family board game time. Nolan always seems to win! Nolan and his family are so grateful to Keri and the entire staff at A Body in Motion for their generous donation, and for their continued support with physiotherapy for all. These funds will directly benefit Nolan’s health and well-being. Thank you.
